Dr. Seuss Day! Let´s read and learn!

Today is Dr. Seuss’s day! Theodor Seuss was an American author, poet and caricaturist, best known for writing more than 60 children´s books under the name of Dr. Seuss. His work includes the most popular children’s books of all time, among them: The Lorax, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, and The Cat in the Hat. His books are known for their original illustrations, creative rhymes and ingenious characters, which blow up the imagination of readers.

In his stories we can also find educational topics about the importance of seeing beauty in the world around us, our responsibility to protect nature, perseverance to achieve our goals, and even financial issues such as being cautious with our expenses during the holidays.

 

Dr. Seuss’s birthday is March 2 and it has been chosen as an annual celebration to promote the wonderful habit of reading. Through books we can learn interesting topics, make new friends, travel to new worlds, expand our imagination.

Let’s celebrate this day by reading a new book, visiting a library, or reading the biography of our favorite author.
